Fees & Policies

Season fees & payment plan

Each group's season training fee is listed on Our Programs. You can pay it two ways:

• In full at registration, or
• On a payment plan: 30% at registration, then 10% on the 1st of each month, October through April.

KBM accepts credit card payments only.

Governing body fees

Every swimmer pays a one-time governing-body fee to Swim Ontario and Swimming Canada, which covers the regulatory oversight of competitive swimming. This fee is invoiced November 1st and is non-refundable.

Pre-Competitive (MM Only): $66.50Competitive (All other groups): $186.56

Swim meet fees

Meet fees are pay-as-you-go, billed only for the meets your swimmer enters:

• Entry: approximately $12-15 per race.
• Meet surcharge: $0 for home meets. Away meets include a $25 coaching fee.
• Invoiced within 1-4 weeks after the meet.
• Non-refundable once entered, unless withdrawn before the entry deadline. Entry fees are charged even if your swimmer is unable to compete (for example, due to illness).

Late payments

Accounts that fall overdue are subject to a 4% monthly penalty on the outstanding balance.

Refunds

• Refunds may be considered on KBM registration fees only, and only in exceptional circumstances.
• Governing body fees and swim meet fees are non-refundable.
• Refund requests require at least 5 business days' notice before your next scheduled payment.

Volunteer commitment

KBM runs on its families. Most competitive groups carry a volunteer and officiating commitment for the season, and every family is encouraged to help at our home meets. Full details, including sessions by group, buyout and officiating requirements, are on our Volunteers & Officials page.
