Swim Assessment | Kingston Blue Marlins

Thank you for signing up for an assessment with KBM! Please fill in all the information below and choose your assessment date and time.

KBM welcomes all swimmers to try out for the team. We have limited availability for each group, and so attendance at this assessment does not guarantee a position on the team.

I confirm that my swimmer meets the following minimum requirements to attend the assessment:
- Swimmers must be a minimum of 7 years old and a maximum of 10 years old as of September 1, 2026.
- Can be independent and take part in practice without a parent
- Comfortable in deep water
- Can comfortably swim 25m front crawl with side breathing
- Can comfortably swim 25m backstroke
- Kick continuously on a flutter board

KBM Assessments

Our assessments will take place at Queen’s University Athletic & Recreation Centre (284 Earl St).

When you arrive at the front doors, proceed to the left and let the front desk know you are there for KBM, and they will let you in. Proceed down one level of stairs and turn right toward the pool change rooms. Turn left and follow the hallway to the change rooms. You can come out on the pool deck from the change rooms. Please have your child come out onto the pool deck wearing a bathing suit and bring goggles. Please, no outdoor shoes on deck!

While your child is being assessed, there will be a parent meeting with our Head Coach, Ken Anderson. He will introduce our club and explain the registration process.
