Who We Are
The Kingston Blue Marlins Swim Team (KBM) is a not-for-profit organization coached by dedicated professionals and managed by enthusiastic parent volunteers. Operating for over 40 years, our goal is to promote, develop, and strengthen competitive swimming in Kingston.
We provide a structured environment that enables swimmers to achieve excellence in every aspect of their lives. Our programs emphasize high-quality coaching, low swimmer-to-lane ratios, frequent personalized instruction, and a supportive atmosphere.

Our Coaches
Ken Anderson
- Executive Director + Head Coach
Ken began coaching full-time in 1991 and joined KBM in 1999. With a passion for athlete development, he supports swimmers in achieving their goals and emphasizes lifelong personal growth and success.
Carla Ingimundson
- Assistant Head Coach
Carla, a former KBM swimmer, has been coaching with KBM since 2005. She is NCCP Level 2 trained. She is dedicated to helping swimmers enjoy the sport, embrace challenges, and build lasting life skills.
Cory Cronk
- Junior Coach + Official Coordinator
Cory has been involved with KBM since 1995. Cory started as a swim parent, he was the President for several years, and now he coaches our Junior group. Cory emphasizes technique, goal-setting, and commitment to lifelong sports engagement.
Alison Lappan
- Junior Development Coach
Alison is a former KBM swimmer. She coaches with enthusiasm, helping young athletes gain confidence, set goals, and embrace team experiences.
Steven Lee
- Junior Development Coach-
Steven is a former Queen’s swimmer who liked coaching with KBM so much he decided to make Kingston his home. Steven is committed to fostering a love for sport through challenging opportunities, technical refinement, and plenty of fun.
